The nervous system is a network of specialised cells that work together to coordinate the actions of the body. With the human nervous system we can receive information from the outside environment, and make sense of it. Once we've processed this information, we can build up a complicated internal model of what the world is like. In this title we'll learn about the different parts of the nervous system, and how messages are sent around the body. We'll also look at how signals are sent down neurones and learn about the action potential, and the chemical ions that enable the message to be sent.
