All religions celebrate important events from their history and the lives of key people. They provide opportunities for followers to reflect on their personal spiritual journey. Christianity is no exception. In the same way that people mark key events occurring in their own lives, following a calendar from January to December, so the Church follows a Liturgical Calendar which begins with the season of Advent. This is the time that Christians prepare for the coming of Jesus, looking forward to the celebration of his birth. This title will study the major Christian festivals, from Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, to Lent, Easter and Pentecost. It will also consider the significance of these festivals, and will describe how they are celebrated by Christians.

Reviews

Tests carried out on my 13 year daughter on the first chapter of this title resulted in 9 out of 10 when it came to remembering the facts. Independently her friend got 8 out of 10. Unbelievable and very likely to make me get the credit card out.
